Retrofit and Repair Experience
Paso Robles Tank keeps existing tanks in service through seismic upgrades, structural repairs, rebottoms, and full rehabilitations, all engineered and executed in-house to AWWA D100, API 650, and API 653 standards. Our work on the Washwater Tank Seismic Improvements in Rancho Santa Fe earned the STI/SPFA 2023 Tank of the Year Product Award for Repair and Modification, and the San Jose Gas Storage Replacement earned the STI/SPFA 2015 Tank of the Year Product Award for its API 650 oil storage tank. That recognition reflects the same standard we bring to every retrofit, whether the goal is meeting current seismic code or extending the life of a tank that still has years of service ahead of it.
The range of that work runs from specialty fabrication to reservoir rehabilitation. Our Desert Water Fabrication project was named 2013 STI/SPFA Specialty Fabrication of the Year, and the 2.0 MG Korblex Reservoir Seismic Retrofit in Arcata brought an existing reservoir up to AWWA D100 seismic requirements.
