This emergency project was brought to us at the end of an extraordinary harvest which left our client faced with the decision to waste product or build additional storage. Of course this wasn’t going to be at an ideal time of the year and tank erection had to be completed in the middle of winter months. But when others said it couldn’t be done we stepped up and designed, fabricated, and installed a 5.8 million gallon tank in less than 4 months!
The design temerpature was 100 degrees Fahrenheit and the design metal temperature (DMT) for the site was -3 degrees Fahrenheit. This temperature variation required the use of custom steel which was impact tested prior to use.
